The hotel weave, kept honest.
About the edit
Waffle weave is the quiet textile behind every well-considered hotel robe, lighter than terry, more absorbent than flat cotton, and built to soften with every wash. Our waffle bathrobe is a tribute to that small, intelligent textile, cut in premium 100% cotton and finished to a hotel and spa standard.

The Weave
Most bathrobes in India default to terry, dense, heavy, slow to dry, often too warm to wear past breakfast. Waffle weave is a quieter, more considered cloth, the textile chosen by most five-star spas for exactly the reasons that make it better for the climate. It is lighter, it breathes, it absorbs as well as terry without holding the weight of water, and it softens beautifully over time rather than going matted with wash.
Structure
Waffle weave creates a grid of tiny square pockets across the surface of the cotton. Each pocket holds a small volume of air, which is what gives the textile its insulation in winter and its breathability in summer. The same structure makes it more absorbent than a flat woven cotton of the same weight, water moves into the pockets quickly and releases when the robe is hung to dry.
Weight
We chose a hotel-grade waffle weight, substantial enough to feel like a proper robe and not a kitchen towel, light enough to wear through April afternoons without overheating. The result is a robe that drapes rather than slumps, a piece that holds a shawl collar properly and falls cleanly to the mid-calf.
The Fit
Relaxed through the shoulders for ease, gentle at the waist when belted, mid-calf in length. The shawl collar is deep enough to fold easily, the cuffs roll once for cooking and twice for unpacking. Tonal piping traces the collar, the pockets, and the cuffs, the only visible detail on an otherwise quiet ivory canvas.
Waffle vs Terry
Terry is denser, slower to dry, warmer to wear, and tends to pill where waffle holds its shape. Waffle is lighter, faster, more breathable, and ages with grace. For a single all-season robe in the Indian climate, waffle is almost always the better answer, which is why we made one.
Care Guide
Machine wash cold with like colours. Avoid bleach. Tumble dry low or line dry in shade, the weave dries quickly. A warm iron if you prefer a crisper collar. The waffle softens over years without losing its grid structure.
FAQ
Lighter. The waffle weave creates small air pockets that breathe in summer and insulate in winter, which is why most five-star spas and hotels choose waffle as their default robe. It feels closer to a proper garment than a towel, and dries far faster than terry.
Yes. Waffle weave is structurally more durable than flat cotton because the grid holds the cotton in place, which means it softens rather than thins over time. Wash cold and tumble dry low to keep the structure intact for years.
A hotel-grade weight, substantial enough to feel like a proper bathrobe and light enough to wear through Indian summers and monsoon mornings. The robe holds a clean shawl collar and falls cleanly to the mid-calf.
Yes, the Antimony bathrobe is 100% premium cotton woven in a waffle structure. No polyester, no rayon. It feels and breathes like cotton because it is.
Yes, in some tests better. The grid structure pulls water into the small pockets quickly, which is why waffle is the standard at high-end spas. The first wash blooms the cotton and brings the robe to full absorbency.
