Bridal Bathrobes
An ivory robe for the morning of the wedding.
About the edit
A bridal robe is its own small, considered ritual, worn over a slip, photographed against marble, held close while the hair sets and the bouquet arrives. Our bridal bathrobe is cut in ivory cotton waffle with quiet piping, generous enough to layer, photogenic enough to remember.

The Bridal Robe
Drawn for the morning of the wedding.
There is a particular tenderness to the hours before a wedding, the hair half-set, the makeup just beginning, the bouquet arriving in cellophane. The robe a bride reaches for in those hours has to do several things quietly, photograph well against marble, drape softly over the slip beneath, sit easily on the shoulders for the makeup chair. The Antimony bridal bathrobe was drawn for exactly that morning. Ivory cotton waffle, deep shawl collar, piped seams that catch the light without competing with the gown waiting on the rack.
The Trousseau
A piece for the trousseau, kept for years.
The best trousseau pieces are the ones a bride still reaches for ten years later, the slip dress, the cotton kurta set, the robe folded at the foot of the bed. Our bridal bathrobe was made to live both lives, the wedding-morning robe in the photographs and the everyday robe in the cupboard, soft, absorbent, photographed once and worn a thousand times after.
Ivory Cotton
An ivory that photographs warm against marble.
Pure white in photography can read cold and clinical. We chose an ivory cotton waffle that holds a small warmth in the weave, the same tone you'd find in the most considered bridal suites. It photographs softly under window light, sits beautifully against rose and pearl tones, and shows the piping detail in close-up without overpowering the frame.
Worn With
Layered the morning of, kept after.
Over a satin slip for the getting-ready hours. Belted close for breakfast in the suite. Open and loose during hair and makeup, with the collar folded back to keep the neckline clear. After the wedding, kept folded with the trousseau or carried on every honeymoon and travel year after.
Bridal Party Gifts
A quiet gift for the bridal party.
Many of our bridal customers order matching robes for the bridal party, the bride in one ivory, the bridesmaids in the same, photographed together against the morning light. We can hold a small bridal order if you write to us at the studio before placing it.
Care Guide
Cared for, kept for years.
Machine wash cold with like colours, avoid bleach, tumble dry low or line dry in shade. A warm iron if you prefer a crisper shawl collar. The first wash blooms the cotton. Stored folded, not hung, so the shoulders keep their shape.
FAQ
Considered
questions.
Is the Antimony bridal bathrobe suitable for a wedding morning photograph?+
Yes, this is one of the most common reasons our bathrobe is purchased. The ivory cotton waffle photographs warm and clean against marble or natural light, the piping detail reads quietly in close-up frames, and the silhouette is generous enough to layer over a slip during hair and makeup.
Can I order matching bridal party robes?+
Yes. Most of our bridal customers order a set, one for the bride and matching robes for the bridal party. Please write to us at the studio before placing a large order so we can hold the stock and dispatch together.
Will the bathrobe arrive in time for my wedding?+
Standard dispatch is 4 working days within India. For weddings, we recommend ordering at least 2 weeks ahead so the robe can be washed once before the day, which softens the cotton and removes any natural lint.
What size should I order for a bridal robe?+
For getting-ready photographs, many brides size up by one for a more generous, fuller drape that reads beautifully on camera. If the robe will be worn often after the wedding, your usual size is the better choice.
Can I monogram or personalise the bridal robe?+
Not as a default option, but please write to us at the studio and we can discuss a small bridal-party monogram on request.
